The great bell of the Palace of Westminster’s clock chimed for the first time on 11 July 1859.
Its nickname, Big Ben, proved so popular that it was used for the whole clock, while the sound of the bell itself has been used in broadcasting for decades.

Can modern-day America really claim absolute autonomy from what was once our Motherland … especially when it comes to entertainment?
Try as we might, we can’t seem to escape the desire to replicate the success of our UK brethren. After all imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and the UK has spawned some of television’s greatest shows. A few plot twists and character name changes may have occurred, but we must give props where props are due.
So, here are some films (like State of Play) and television shows (like the cult classic Absolutely Fabulous) that celebrate the spirit of unity, collaboration, and entertainment for all!
